Monday came and we went to the Gardner Dentist and was told, that the Dentist went home sick. April asked, "well what do I do now"? Their answer was, " Oh I don't know - I don't know what to tell you". "Go to Urgent Care". Back to Urgent Care we go, again - This was for the second time, no x-rays were taken as they were too busy and didn't see anything like a hole or sign of infection and x-rays were unneccesary. April was sent home with muscle relaxers, She took them as directed, but to no avail. Still in Pain for another day!
Having gone to a competent and courteous dentist today, it raised a memory of an experience from this dental office. Dr. Larkin was courteous, at first. After I had a tooth extracted, I ended up with dry socket. I went back and Dr. Larkin proceeded to talk to me like a child, raised his voice and was horribly rude. After getting out of the chair, he then followed me out to the waiting area and continued with his rant and embarrassed me in front of other patients and his staff. All of this because I had dry socket. The entire time I was in so much pain and could not talk. This made it that much more difficult for me to navigate. I wish I could give something lower than 1 star. I will never recommend Dr. Larkin to anyone...not even if his services were free. If you decide to go to this dentist, be prepared to be chastised publicly if you do not follow his instructions.
This is the situation that led up to seeking out Dr. Larkin, we looked at his website, and had a good feeling,.......... well that all changed!
Day 5 in Pain - April Got an Appointment Finally at DR. LARKIN's Office in W. Brookfield, MA and thought finally, someone is going to help. HA! HA! HA! "JOKE ON APRIL" SO EXTREMELY UNBELIEVABLY WRONG! Dr. Larkin, if you want to call him a Doctor (NOT) barely looked at April, he did take an X-ray of one side - Bottom of her mouth and said, "Oh YES! you have a BIG HOLE in your tooth, I can see why you are in pain". April said "Okay", in shock at his brash response, then He said "so, are you going to quit smoking and stop doing whatever else it is you do"? Without even really looking at April to see that her face is also swollen, he did not even care and said " well if your not going to quit smoking then I can't help you and oh, what, you have an eating disorder, no I can't help you". "You did this to yourself" Plain as that! (" I have better things to do and people to help.")
Both my wife and I have been seeing Dr. Larkin for the last year, and we have found him to be very professional, helpful and courteous. What we both like the best about him is that he does not try to push expensive treatments on us.

Had the MOST HEARTWRENCHING - UNBELIEVABLE - HORRIFIC - EXPERIENCE At this Dentist's Office this afternoon. Dr. Larkin - W.Brookfield, MA
We went to A Dentist in Gardner, on Friday, that accepted her MassHealth Insurance, and were turned away as they were overbooked. They gave April paperwork and told her to come back on Monday, as they would take her in as an emergency. So, we decided April had no choice but to go to Urgent Care. They told her that she didn't have an infection and they didn't see any Hole in her tooth. She was told by the Urgent Care Doctor, that a whole in the tooth wouldn't turn into an infection anyways. So, No X-ray, No Treatment, No Medication!
Was in immense pain; Didn't have a dentist; Found them, called at 7am when they opened and explained my pain, and was in a chair by 8am. My extraction wasn't easy, but they explained everything, the atmosphere was relaxed, and they were very kind and courteous. I would recommend them in a heartbeat. Everyone from the moment I entered to the moment I left was AWESOME. Great place.
Great fast and gentle!!! They explained every thing to me and didn't do work that didn't need to be done!!! They let me leave to go get $ to pay for extraction which no other dentist will do! They also didn't drag out the extraction the pulled it on my very first visit!! I would totally recommend this office for all your dental needs!! I'm so glad I didn't listen to the other review it sounds like they were trying to get pain killers! The deterioration of society pill seekers!!! If urgent care didn't give you pain killers then ibuprofen is all you need and it usually works the best any way!!! I'm definitely staying with this dentist!!!!
REALLY! NO COMPASSION AT ALL FROM THIS DENTIST. HE SHUT OFF THE XRAY MACHINE AND WALKED OUT OF THE ROOM BEFORE APRIL EVEN KNEW WHAT HAD HAPPENED. THE HYGENTIST EVEN LOOKED SHOCKED AND PULLED APRIL ASIDE AND SAID, "SORRY, I DON'T KNOW WHY HE WON'T TAKE YOU" The Hygentist told April to Please go to the Emergency, because your pain is going to get worse. April Left Crying and she doesn't show emotions easily, but this was way over the edge. Sent Home in Pain - No medication - No Referral a big FAT NOTHING!
April my daughter has been in Pain for 5 days now, we have gone to her Primary Doctor and she said it was all nerves and had nothing to do with her teeth even though April told her,"I have a big hole in my tooth and the medications, (Tramadol & Gabapentin) I am on for Fibro, don't even come close to aleviate the pain." Her Primary said," Oh keep taking the medication." "Even for an Infection"? April Said. My Doctor Said, "No it's all nerves and has nothing to do with your teeth"! So April left her Doctor's Office in Pain still and took her Medications as told, and it didn't even come close to the pain.
