I've stayed at quite a few Hotel and Motels and when I say that it's always at the "Hyatt Regencies"and places affiliated with them. But I was never as comfortable as I was when I stayed at the Copper Lantern.

The Copper Lantern Motor Lodge is a beautiful place. It's rustic look and EXTREMELY Kind Staff, make it not only a lovely quiet romantic getaway but a wonderful family place to stay as well. The unbelievable views and historic community it's located in, offer MANY activities for children and adults. The lovely setting is beyond words. I've never stayed anywhere before, where the Staff has been so helpful and accommodating. The rooms are very clean, with all the best parts of home you can't bring with you while away from home. They also have beautiful family rooms available as well. I would recommend staying at the Copper Lantern Motor Lodge to ANYONE and EVERYONE, especially those looking for a beautiful view and kind professional Staff, cleanliness and a peaceful stay. It's rustic country setting, has given me the opportunity to sleep peacefully in the morning and nights. I've been able to travel to the amazing Orchards near by and even fish right in the backyard. Compliments to ALL the Staff at The Copper Lantern Motor Lodge, and thank you so very much for your attentiveness and kindness.

Now the rooms are very clean as are the grounds. When you walk into the rooms you feel like you're walking back in time and that's what I love so much about it's like an "Ahh time" kick off the shoes get comfortable order a take out (pizza) put on a movie or if a game is on.
New managers are not as friendly as last year and rooms are way overpriced. Found it strange that they only wanted cash telling me my debit card would generate an $18 charge? Also the pet fees are misrepresented in the web site claiming $40 a week but I was charged $70 for my dog. Rented an efficiency and I had to clean the toilet seat, the dresser drawer was broken as was one burner and the refrigerator. I asked for towels during the week and was given 2 for my family of 4. Worst of all was the cockroaches. Would never recommend this motel.

My room had issues with smell and cleanliness. Another friend of mine had no issues with his room. The condition of the room didn't justify the room rate.
I stayed here twice and if you're looking for it to be a 5 Star Hotel your wrong. But if you're looking for some place that is quite and cozy then the Copper Lantern is the place to stay. The rates are very reasonable. They also accept AARP, AAA and if you don't have those and your a Senior Citizen they will be more than happy to discount the room rate for you. I also believe they are Pet Friendly except for CAT'S and I believe it's because the owner is highly allergic. Now speaking of the owners they are the nicest family and will go out of their way to make sure you are comfortable also the young lady who runs the front desk at night is wonderful person. She's very accommodating. If you're looking for a place to go and have dinner, breakfast or a convenience store she will be more than happy to tell you the best places to go in the area. If you need something extra for your room she's right it.
Not my favourite place, but it's not a dump either! Nice if you are visiting the area and want to stay in a rural setting, close to some small stores and a dunkins! Oh a Chinese restaurant too!
There are going to be some who feel differently and some who felt the same as I did. But if I'm ever in that area again I will definitely be going back to the Copper Lantern Inn. I hope everyone that stayed or is planning on staying at the Copper Lantern enjoys their stay as much as I did.
By the way, the rates are EXTREMELY REASONABLE!!! Love It
